Molina recently confirmed his involvement in the sequel, which can't have made Marvel's PR team happy. In fact, rumors point to a number of previous Spider-Man veterans making the jump to the MCU, including both Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire's Spider-Men and villains like Jamie Foxx's Electro and Alfred Molina's Doctor Octopus. We know the film is connected to the events of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, suggesting the Marvel multiverse will factor into the plot. Benedict Cumberbatch's Doctor Strange will serve as Peter's Avenger mentor this time around. Marvel has kept the plot of the sequel tightly under wraps, and little has been confirmed beyond the core cast, which also includes returning actors like Jacob Batalon as Ned, Zendaya as MJ and Marisa Tomei as Aunt May. Whatever the case, we're definitely getting a follow-up to 2019's Spider-Man: Far From Home, where we'll learn what happens to Spidey after his identity is outed by J. Does that mean he's already filmed scenes for an upcoming MCU movie? What that crossover film might be is unclear, as Holland also claims No Way Home marks the end of his current Marvel contract. One will be the third solo film, titled Spider-Man: No Way Home, and the other will be an MCU crossover film. After a brief split, Marvel Studios and Sony were able to work out a deal to share Spider-Man for at least two more Tom Holland movies.
